Mechanical Project Engineer – JPA, Baltimore, MD

About the Role

JPA is seeking a full‑time Mechanical Project Engineer with building mechanical design experience. The role involves working primarily with project engineers, project managers, and other senior staff; coordinating with other trades; and participating in the daily design, engineering, and production of projects. Work will largely be collaborative at the office with a limited hybrid schedule.

• Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree(s) in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
• EIT status or PE licensure preferred, but not required
• Additional certifications such as LEED AP or WELL AP preferred, but not required
• Proficiency in Autodesk REVIT and AutoCAD design software (required)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam Revu, and other commonly‑used engineering software packages
• Professional work ethic and strong desire to work as part of a multi‑discipline design team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Problem‑solving, decision‑making, and analytical skills
• Positive, energetic work attitude for team success
• Familiarity with national, state, and local building codes, energy codes, and industry standards
• Experience in design, modeling, and drafting building mechanical system components
