General Engineer with Security Clearance

Position: GENERAL ENGINEER with Security Clearance
Location: Patuxent River

Duties
* You will apply progressive working knowledge of systems engineering of major aviation systems and associated software/hardware components to accomplish program/project requirements.
* You will oversee the technical design, definition, and integration of a complex system with several major subcomponents such as propulsion, airframe, guidance, control, ordnance, fusing, avionics, software, computers, and interfaces.
* You will serve as a technical leader in the system simulation, requirement, and performance specification assessment of technical risk, and analysis of test and evaluation results for assigned aviation systems.
* You will coordinate the integration of aviation system performance requirements generated by operational and threat analysis into hardware and software.
* You will formulate project-planning objectives for aviation system engineering development of current and long range programs/projects.
* You will maintain continuous contact with personnel and program stakeholders in order to be informed on new aviation system engineering and scientific developments.
* You will organize and perform technical reviews to ensure adequate resources for assigned aviation systems.
* You will accomplish other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of employment

* Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing. Qualifications In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the STRL DP-04 Pay Band or equivalent GS Grade Level (GS-12/13) in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
