Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Civil Project Engineer with strong technical expertise in Civil 3D and AutoCAD, with a primary focus on site grading, storm water/drainage, and overall site design. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the planning and execution of civil site development projects for commercial, industrial, or municipal clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and produce construction drawings and plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Perform site grading, layout, and stormwater management designs for various land development projects
  • Develop storm drainage calculations, detention/retention systems, and erosion control plans
  • Coordinate designs with clients, project managers, and regulatory agencies
  • Prepare construction documents, specifications, and permitting packages
  • Support project submittals and respond to agency review comments
  • Conduct site visits as needed to assess conditions and verify design elements
  • Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and environmental regulations
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in civil site development or land development engineering
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required
  • Experience in site grading, storm water/drainage, and site layout design
  • Familiarity with local and state regulatory permitting processes
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • EIT or PE license preferred but not required
Preferred Experience
  • Commercial, residential, or municipal site development projects
  • Hydrology modeling software (e.g., Hydraflow, StormCAD, HEC-RAS)
  • Knowledge of sustainable and low-impact site design practices
