I. Job Overview The Scheduler supports project teams in preparing and updating detailed baseline schedules for assigned projects using Primavera P6 and other scheduling software as needed. Working under the direction of the Senior Scheduler and project management staff, this role helps maintain the Master Schedule and assists in reviewing, updating, and analyzing project schedules. The Scheduler supports progress schedule update reviews — including reporting and narrative — and helps analyze schedule data so project teams can make informed decisions regarding planning and procurement for water and wastewater projects of varying size and complexity.
II.RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
- Develop, manage, update, and monitor individual project schedules and integrated overall master program schedule.
- Assist in developing, updating, and monitoring individual project schedules and the integrated overall master program schedule.
- Review project documents and specifications to support development of baseline schedules that include all required dates, activities, and milestones.
- Support progress schedule update reviews, including reporting and narratives.
- Track the schedule, progress, and productivity of consultants and contractors; help monitor and verify monthly costs and earned value.
- Assist in monitoring program- and project-specific budgets, cash flow projections, and forecasts.
- Support cost and resource tracking and reporting.
- Help ensure scheduling and cost control standards are followed.
- Assist with progress payment application reporting.
- Participate in meetings with project teams, clients, owners, and stakeholders related to project controls and schedule status.
- Support development and analysis of what-if scenarios, including risk mitigation strategies, and help track key performance metrics (CPI, SPI, critical path, float density, variance, etc.).
- Assist with delay and time impact analysis of the schedule.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
- 2+ years of relevant scheduling experience, preferably in the water/wastewater or construction industry.
- Experience with scheduling principles using Primavera P6, MS Project, or other related applications required.
- PMI-SP (PMI Scheduling Professional) or PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional) certification a plus, but not required. - Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills; proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
