Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks a Senior Reliability Engineer to lead reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) engineering for cutting-edge Defense & Aerospace systems. You will architect reliability models, perform FMEA/FMECA, fault tree and reliability growth analyses, and develop test strategies for complex hardware/software and mission systems. Partner with multidisciplinary teams to influence design, verify mission-critical performance, and present results to sponsors.

Responsibilities
- Lead RAM engineering for complex Defense & Aerospace and mission systems
- Develop reliability architectures, models, and predictions for hardware/software systems
- Conduct FMEA/FMECA, FTA, and reliability growth analyses to drive design decisions
- Define and oversee reliability test plans, environmental and stress testing, and data analysis
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams to influence system design for reliability
- Support requirements development, allocation, and verification related to reliability and availability
- Prepare and deliver technical reports, briefings, and recommendations to government and industry sponsors
- Mentor junior engineers in reliability methods, tools, and best practices
- Ensure alignment with applicable MIL-STD and industry reliability standards
