Responsibilities
  • Review staffing levels to maintain operational effectiveness
  • Controlling cards and equipment
  • Responsible for the supervision and performance of the poker dealers
  • Development of staff, evaluating, hiring and training
  • Assists Poker Floor Supervisor/Greeter with monitoring with reviewing and managing the department’s promotions and tournaments
  • Review poker room activities and promotional status with Director of Poker
  • Assists Poker Floor Supervisor/Greeter with monitoring and adjusting performance to local competition
  • Excellent customer service
  • Ensure the safety and security of guests and employees
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment
  • Ability to accurately complete paperwork and forms
  • Complete, perform and understand basic mathematical functions
  • Knowledge of company policy and procedures, IRS Bank Secrecy Act and internal controls
  • Complete knowledge of all facilities available to guests on property.
  • Always maintain a pleasant, friendly, and welcoming attitude with use of facial expressions and knowledge of all special events and promotional activities
  • Ability to maintain mental concentration for significant periods of time
  • Basic computer skills
  • Management abilities demonstrated in managing the Poker Room operations
  • Maintain interpersonal working relationship among all personnel
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Willingness to assume responsibility relative to the performance of the table games
  • Obtainment of departmental budget and goals
  • Effective managing of the staff
  • Accuracy in completing assigned duties, paperwork, and reports
  • Knowledge of state gaming laws and regulations
Qualifications
  • One (1) to two (2) years’ experience as a poker dealer or poker floor supervisor with a four (4) year degree in related fields or equivalent work experience
  • Technical school education in dealing specified games
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the necessary license as mandated by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to carry a tray.
  • High volume, 24, hour liquor and beverage service.
  • Loud, high-energy work environment.
Working Conditions
  • 24/7 high energy casino with over 300,000 sq. ft of gaming and entertainment space and approximately 3000 employees.
  • Exposed to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises.
  • You will work in an environment where smoking is allowed.
