The Event Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Owings Mills MD. This position supports the planning and execution of in-house events, private parties, and special occasions, ensuring a positive guest experience from initial inquiry through event completion. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with event setup and breakdown, coordinating event timelines, and supporting communication between guests, kitchen staff, and front-of-house team members.
The Event Assistant will help manage event details such as seating, décor, and service flow, while responding to guest questions and requests in a professional and friendly manner. This role also includes maintaining organized event records, assisting with confirmations and follow-ups, and contributing to a clean, safe, and welcoming event environment.
- Strong Customer Service skills with a focus on hospitality, guest satisfaction, and problem-solving.
- Clear and professional Communication skills, including in-person, phone, and written interactions with guests and team members.
- Event Planning and Event Management abilities to help coordinate details, timelines, and logistics for various types of events.
- Solid Organization Skills to handle multiple events or tasks at once, manage schedules, and maintain accurate event documentation.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event needs.
- Previous experience in restaurants, catering, or event support is preferred but not required.
- Capacity to stand for extended periods and assist with light physical tasks such as moving tables, chairs, and event materials.
- Reliable transportation to the both locations and a commitment to teamwork, punctuality, and professionalism.
