Job Overview
Security Ambassador plays a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming, and memorable experience for every guest and team member at Live! Casino & Hotel. You help maintain a secure environment while delivering warm, attentive, and friendly service throughout every corner of the casino.
Compensation: USD $19.00 per hour. Full‑time, must be flexible to work any shift.
Responsibilities- Greet guests with a smile and a warm welcome.
- Check IDs of guests entering the casino and hotels; refuse entry to persons under 21, those without proper authorization, or carrying weapons or prohibited items.
- Explain rules, regulations, and code of conduct for the casino and hotels.
- Interact with the public professionally when providing assistance, directions, and responding to inquiries.
- Assist with customer disputes, intoxicated subjects, criminal matters, and traffic control; otherwise refer to management.
- Notify supervisor, manager, surveillance, or Casino and Hotel Operations Manager of any unusual events, incidents, or crimes.
- Respond to medical or fire emergencies.
- Staff the Employee/Visitor Entrance to ensure only authorized personnel enter; maintain a log of visitors and vendors.
- Monitor guest and team member passage in and out of restaurants and gaming areas.
- Control traffic congestion in the valet and parking areas.
- Write and investigate reports of injuries when applicable.
- Assist in transporting money, chips, tokens, and markers.
- Check for and report safety hazards.
- Ensure the safety and security of all guests and team members.
- Ability to read/write memos and reports.
- Answer telephones professionally.
- Multitask effectively.
- De‑escalation skills.
- Show empathy to patrons.
- Good customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Perform duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment.
- Always be alert.
- Dexterity required for day‑to‑day activities and emergencies.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred).
- Zero to two years’ experience in security with a focus on guest service (preferred).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the necessary license as mandated by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency.
- Must initiate the Guard Card process within 60 days of employment.
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ascend and descend stairs.
- Work in extreme temperatures (hot and cold).
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- 24/7 high‑energy casino with over 300,000 sq. ft of gaming and entertainment space.
- Exposed to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises.
- Smoking is allowed in the environment.
Please note that this is a union position; individuals may be required to pay applicable union dues and fees.
