Performers wanted for "Rocky the Musical" show. Only local talent will be considered.

About the project:
Rocky the Musical is adapted from Sylvester Stallone’s Academy Award‑nominated screenplay with music by Tony Award winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty. A small‑time boxer on the tough streets of Philadelphia gets a chance of a lifetime when chosen as an unlikely opponent for Apollo Creed, the undefeated world heavyweight champion. As Rocky trains relentlessly for the fight of his life, he finds an unexpected connection with Adrian, a quiet and overlooked young woman searching for her own strength.

Together they discover in each other a courage neither knew they possessed. This is a non‑paid, non‑union production.

98 until Thursday, June 18 at 5:00 PM.

Callbacks:
Saturday, June 20, 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Notifications will be sent by June 18 at 10:00 PM.

Prepare a song approximately 32 bars (60–90 seconds) in the style of the show. An accompanist will be provided.

Rehearsals begin late June, typically 2–4 times per week. Submit all known conflicts at auditions.

Tech week:
September 1–10. No conflicts accepted on September 3, 4, 8, 9, and 10.

Performances:
September 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, and 20. Evening performances at 7:30 PM;
Sunday matinees at 2:00 PM.

• Rocky Balboa – Male, 25–40, all ethnicities. An amateur boxer with dreams and determination. He aspires to have a shot at the heavyweight championship and a better life. Vocal range:
  Ab2–G#4.
• A confident championship fighter – Male, all ethnicities. Everyone’s favorite to win the heavyweight title. Vocal range:
  Bb2–G4.
• Gazzo – Male, 18–96, all ethnicities. A ruthless loan‑shark who employs Rocky. Vocal range: D3–E4.
• Mickey Goldmill – Male, 50–80, all ethnicities. Rocky’s trainer and a father figure. A former boxer himself, passionate about boxing. Vocal range: D3–B3.
• Adrian Pennino – Female, 25–40, all ethnicities. A shy pet‑store clerk. Her life is shadowed by her domineering older brother, Paulie. Vocal range: G3–D5.
• Gloria – Female, 40–50, all ethnicities. The vivacious owner of the pet store where Adrian works. Paulie’s love interest. Vocal range:
  Db4–D5.
• Joanne – Female, 18–96, all ethnicities. A friend and coworker of Gloria and Adrian. Vocal range: C4–E5.
• Angie – Female, 18–96, all ethnicities. A friend and coworker of Gloria and Adrian. Vocal range: D4–D5.
• Paulie Pennino – Male, 35–50, all ethnicities. Adrian’s bullying older brother. He tries to use Adrian and Rocky as pawns to get what he wants.
• Creed’s promoter – Vocal range:
  Bb2–F4.
• Ensemble – Both genders, 18–96, all ethnicities. Roles include crowd, referees, reporters, street singers, Apollo’s girls, and boxers.
• Dipper Riley – Male. An up‑and‑coming boxer. Vocal range: C#3–G#3.
• Spider Rico – Male. A local boxer who fights Rocky early on.
