The Dual Rate Dealer – Poker at Live! Casino & Hotel delivers a seamless, engaging, and secure gaming experience for every guest. This position merges the roles of Poker Dealer and Floor Supervisor, allowing flexibility to support operational needs while maintaining game integrity, asset protection, and guest service. Managing both table games and floor operations, the role ensures a clean, safe, fast, friendly, and fun environment that reflects Live!

Compensation

Minimum: USD $4.50/hr maximum: USD $5.50/hr dealer rate: $5.50/hr supervisor rate: $28.00/hr.

Responsibilities
  • Dealer:
    • Deal games while monitoring table winnings and losses.
    • Control gaming cards and equipment.
    • Protect company assets by monitoring guest movements.
    • Analyze player play for cheating, scams, and suspicious variations.
    • Provide excellent customer service.
    • Handle wins and losses responsibly.
    • Ensure safety and security of guests and employees.
  • Supervisor:
    • Report to Casino Pit Manager or Shift Operations Manager for performance.
    • Supervise dealer performance at table games.
    • Assist and advise other departments to ensure table game success.
    • Administer fills/credits, player ratings, markers, and rundowns.
    • Analyze gameplay for cheating, counterfeits, and unusual variations.
    • Develop staff through training and evaluations.
    • Meet with departmental directors and managers to review table game activities and promotions.
Skills & Requirements
  • Dealer skills:
    • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English.
    • Use of chips, cards, and pad with good hand/eye coordination.
    • Knowledge of gaming regulations, theft techniques, and company policies.
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
    • Perform under time pressure in interruptive environment.
    • Basic mathematical ability.
    • Knowledge of IRS Bank Secrecy Act and internal controls.
    • Knowledge of company facilities, events, and promotions.
    • Friendly, welcoming attitude.
  • Floor Supervisor skills:
    • Maintain strict confidentiality of financial data and casino policies.
    • Effective staff management and strong interpersonal skills.
    • Oral and written communication.
    • Strong sense of responsibility for table game performance.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft software.
    • Analyze departmental budgets, goals, and results.
    • Problem-solving under complex situations.
    • Knowledge of specified games and gaming regulations.
Qualifications
  • Technical school education in dealing specified games.
  • Two to five years of experience with a four-year degree in related fields or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the necessary license as mandated by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency.
Physical Requirements
  • Casino over 300,000 sq. ft. requires ability to move with urgency.
  • 10% walking, 10% keyboarding, 15% bending (waist), 75% standing.
  • Repetitive hand motions.
  • Use stairwell of 31 stairs multiple times/day and elevators.
Working Conditions
  • 24/7 high-energy casino with over 300,000 sq. ft. & approximately 3,000 employees.
  • Exposed to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, loud noises, and an environment where smoking is allowed.
