Job Title
Job Summary:
Knowledgeable in the efficient operation of the hospital’s console. Professionally and promptly answers incoming calls; transfers callers as appropriate; answers questions from callers in accordance with established hospital policy. Takes and relays messages. Receives calls from caller/patient in professional and courteous manner, and relates to physician complete and accurate information pertaining to the call received.
Education:
Position requires a high school diploma or GED and 0-6 months equivalent combination of education and experience in related area.
Experience:
Position requires 0-6 months related experience.
Other Requirements:
Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements. Position requires weekend and night availability.
