Overview
Why We Need Your Talents: The Assistant Drop & Count Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, security, and efficiency of all drop and count room operations at Live! Casino & Hotel. Your ability to uphold strict regulatory standards, maintain compliance with internal controls, and supervise daily processes directly supports the integrity of our financial accountability systems. By leading a focused team, safeguarding all count‑related procedures, and fostering a culture of precision and professionalism, you help protect the property’s assets and contribute to smooth, compliant, and reliable gaming operations.
Compensation- Minimum Compensation: USD $51,273.00 per year.
- Maximum Compensation: USD $90,169.00 per year.
- Responsible for efficient overall operation of the count room and staff.
- Ensure that gaming devices drop and count room procedures are followed in compliance with gaming regulations.
- Complete financial reports, paperwork, and secure internal information.
- Ensure compliance of internal controls for all accounting and cash handling.
- Monitor and adjust staffing levels to maintain budgeted levels of employment; delegate authority and assign responsibilities.
- Develop staff, including training, interviewing for hires, and performance management to include disciplinary counseling and conducting performance evaluations.
- Supervise processes and procedures to reduce loss time injuries.
- Review drop and count room activities with the Director of Cage Operations.
- Meet with departmental supervisors and managers as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to analyze and interpret departmental needs and results.
- Ability to solve complex problems.
- Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures and in an interruptive environment.
- Knowledge of state and local tax laws, banking codes, gaming regulations, and internal controls.
- Broad variety of tasks and deadlines requires an irregular work schedule.
- Must be able to understand and speak English.
- Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
- Must be able to work various hours, as needed, including weekends and holidays.
- Three (3) to Five (5) years’ experience in casino finance or banking.
- 4‑year degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the necessary license as mandated by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency.
- Present self in a well‑groomed, friendly, and professional manner.
- Stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Stoops, bends, and squats.
- Work in a location with loud noise, visual distractions, and temperature changes.
- 24/7 high‑energy casino with over 300,000 sq. ft of gaming and entertainment space and approximately 3,000 employees.
- Exposed to alcohol, cigarette, and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises.
