The Opportunity

Our client is a growing manufacturing company seeking a Controller
. This role is highly operational and hands-on, supporting a production-driven environment with multiple active builds in progress at any given time.

This is not a back-office role. The Controller will be closely connected to operations, purchasing, and job costing, with visibility into how projects are built and delivered. The company is entering a period of sustained growth and is looking for a steady, capable finance leader to support scale.

• Maintain accurate WIP schedules across multiple simultaneous builds
• Track labor, materials, purchasing, and job coding at the project level
• Support percent-completion revenue recognition
• Partner with operations to ensure real-time financial visibility

• Own journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Maintain GAAP-aligned financials
• Support external advisors as needed

• Work closely with production and purchasing teams
• Support pricing, costing, and margin analysis

• Own the ERP and job-costing system (Sage 100 experience a plus)
• Improve workflows, documentation, and internal controls
• Help build scalable finance processes as the business grows

• Manage and mentor AR and junior finance staff
• Serve as the day-to-day finance leader for the business

• Hands-on accounting background in manufacturing or job-costing environments
• Strong understanding of WIP schedules and percent-completion accounting
• Comfortable in a blue-collar, production-focused culture
• Detail-driven, reliable, and operationally curious
