AP Specialist

Location: Halethorpe

Kforce has a client in Halethorpe, MD that is seeking an AP Specialist.

Duties:

* Process high-volume invoices, perform vendor reconciliations, and execute timely payment runs

* Maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to accounts payable policies and procedures

* Investigate and resolve invoice, payment, and account discrepancies in collaboration with vendors and internal stakeholders

* Support month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals, reconciliations, reporting, and audit requests

* Coordinate with Controllers and Treasury on payment timing, cash management, and intercompany activity

* Maintain AP general ledger accuracy, vendor aging, and complete supporting documentation

* Monitor AP performance metrics, identify trends, and contribute to process improvement initiatives

* Prepare and provide AP reports, data, and documentation for internal and external inquiries
* Minimum 3 years of Accounts Payable experience, ideally in a high-volume or centralized AP environment

* Experience with Sage Intacct, Medius, or similar ERP/AP automation systems

* Proven ability to maintain strong internal controls while managing large transaction volumes

* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

* Proficiency in Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, lookup functions, formulas, conditional formatting)

* Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting

* Experience with process improvement or automation is a plus
