Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD Clearance required : TS/SCI Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
* Support the formulation of organizational, program, and project budgets, including gathering data, forecasting funding needs, and developing budget plans.
* Assist in the justification of budget requests by preparing analyses, narratives, cost projections, and supporting documentation for leadership review.
* Participate in the execution of approved budgets, tracking obligations and expenditures, monitoring variances, and ensuring funds are used appropriately.
* Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that support decision making.
* Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership, auditors, and stakeholders.
* Maintain and update financial systems, ensuring data accuracy and alignment with budget processes.
* Coordinate with internal departments to collect financial information, resolve discrepancies, and support audits or reviews.
* Assist in developing and refining budget policies, tools, and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance.
* Provide guidance and support to staff on budget processes and system functionality. Qualifications
* Associates of Arts or Science OR two-year technical school degree + minimum of 3 years relevant experience OR
* High school diploma / GED plus 10 years' experience.
* Knowledge and skill in the applications of related laws, regulations, policies, precedents, methods, and techniques of budgeting.
* Minimum of 3 years relevant budget management experience, or military experience E4 and up.
