Purpose and Objective

SAP America, Inc. seeks a professional to lead a regional Revenue Recognition team and manage the general administration of the company's finance and accounting functions.

Expectations and Tasks

Support Revenue Recognition specialists in complex deals and ensure Customer Success support to maximize revenue and KPIs.
Ensure compliance with revenue recognition standards in accordance with SAP internal policies and International Accounting standards.
Manage accounting and financial reporting requirements resulting from legal obligations or internal global policies.
Administer activities such as revenue accounting, commissions, order management, contracts, treasury management, or billing.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure alignment on revenue recognition issues and impact on CCB/RPO.
Influence new policies and processes to enforce simplification and agile operation.
Work with internal and external auditors on revenue recognition items and SOX controls.
Deliver regular training sessions on basic revenue recognition.

Education and Occupational Experience

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and seven (7) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience.
Alternatively, a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and five (5) years of experience.

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies

Implement controls and procedures to agreements review to maintain Standalone Selling Price (SSP) compliance.

Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure agreements are structured and accounted for in accordance with IFRS 15.

Implement controls and procedures for quarterly and annual close of financial transactions, with focus on revenue accounts.

IFRS, US GAAP, and other regulations, with focus on Revenue Recognition training content and programs.

Collaborate with auditors and leadership to align on transactional risk evaluation, quarterly reviews, and annual audit procedures.

Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, vlookup, and macros.

Manage a team of individual contributors.

Compensation and Benefits

The targeted combined range for this position is $212,576 - $242,300. The actual amount offered will be dependent upon education, skills, experience, scope of the role, and location.
