Role Summary

As demand for financial advice continues to accelerate, we are deliberately growing our Advisory Services organization to better support investors and their long-term goals.

As part of this growth, we are actively seeking talented Individual Investor Holistic Advisors to join a collaborative, forward‑thinking organization focused on helping investors achieve their goals and retire with confidence. As an advisor at T. Rowe Price, you’ll build deep, lasting client relationships while leveraging our proven approach, proprietary research, innovative advice capabilities, and strong brand—key drivers of our continued momentum.

Expanding our Advisory business is a strategic priority within our retail division, creating meaningful opportunities for advisors at multiple career stages to grow, develop, and maximize their impact while shaping the future of financial advice at scale.

Responsibilities
  • With general guidance, implements and may assist with developing standard advisory solutions to assigned clients and coordinates internal resources necessary to carry out solutions.
  • Prepares and/or aids in financial plans for clients within the following areas, including preretirement, retirement, insurance, tax planning, and estate planning.
  • Responsible for positioning discretionary management as a means for clients to implement their recommended plans and to realize the full value within the plan.
  • Serves as an enrollment specialist to assist qualified clients in their transition from a self‑directed relationship to a managed account relationship.
  • Must be able to position the value of discretionary management, overcome objections, and redirect clients to other solutions when discretionary management isn’t appropriate.
  • Applies knowledge to ensure an up‑to‑date knowledge of and fluency in new capabilities related to investment advice, financial planning, and financial education.
  • May assist in identifying opportunities for improvement to present to managers for consideration.
  • Responsible for client satisfaction regarding a wide variety of basic solutions managed by advisory services for assigned clients and continues to develop and deepen client relationships using consultative skills and ongoing personalized support and recommendations.
  • Serves as a client‑facing expert on financial planning, portfolio construction, tax‑efficient investing, and other advisory matters.
  • Has a basic understanding of how to determine a client’s appetite for risk and how that aligns with different advice solutions and how to ensure that the implemented solutions are compliant.
  • Escalates potential issues to more senior staff.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
  • 2+ years of total relevant work experience
  • Previous success in building relationships, uncovering needs, and recommending solutions
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
