Relationship Banker Business Specialist

Position Overview

As a Business Banking Specialist within PNC's Retail Branch organization, you will be based in Frederick, MD. PNC is an in‑office company that fosters a collaborative and supportive culture.

• Acquire and expand share of wallet for Consumer and Business Banking opportunities under $2MM in sales revenue.
• Lead proactive lead generation and appointments internally and externally.
• Deliver a differentiated client experience from acquisition through onboarding and servicing.
• Manage and grow Business Banking relationships under $2MM in sales revenue, using client data to create actionable sales strategies.
• Generate quality referrals to ecosystem partners and help manage referral follow‑up.
• Develop ecosystem leadership within and outside the branch, working with partners such as PNCWM, PNC Private Bank, Business Banking and Mortgage.
• Work with branch staff to identify and create referrals and opportunities to expand share of wallet for consumer and business clients.
• Engage clients in the lobby and educate them on financial solutions using technology and resources.
• Apply product and procedural knowledge to mitigate customer problems and support customer loyalty.
• Manage risk in line with policies and procedures, exercising sound judgment and heightened scrutiny to avoid loss.
• Participate in daily branch operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.

• University or college degree or equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience (including military service).
• 1 year of professional experience or completion of a formal development program.
• Proficiency in banking products, business acumen, and customer experience management.
• Strong communication, prospecting, and sales competencies.
• Ability to leverage technology and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with risk management and adherence to regulatory frameworks.
• Effective communication skills and ability to advocate for clients across departments.

Bachelor's degree required; no specific certifications required for this position.

• Ability to serve as a Notary Public in the applicable state.
• Background checks as required by Consumer Financial Protection Bureau regulations.
• Will not be sponsored for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT.

Base Salary: $57,750.00 – $96,250.00. This role is incentive eligible with payment based upon company, business, and/or individual performance.
