Position Overview
As a Business Banking Specialist within PNC's Retail Branch organization, you will be based in Frederick, MD. PNC is an in‑office company that fosters a collaborative and supportive culture.
Responsibilities- Acquire and expand share of wallet for Consumer and Business Banking opportunities under $2MM in sales revenue.
- Lead proactive lead generation and appointments internally and externally.
- Deliver a differentiated client experience from acquisition through onboarding and servicing.
- Manage and grow Business Banking relationships under $2MM in sales revenue, using client data to create actionable sales strategies.
- Generate quality referrals to ecosystem partners and help manage referral follow‑up.
- Develop ecosystem leadership within and outside the branch, working with partners such as PNCWM, PNC Private Bank, Business Banking and Mortgage.
- Work with branch staff to identify and create referrals and opportunities to expand share of wallet for consumer and business clients.
- Engage clients in the lobby and educate them on financial solutions using technology and resources.
- Apply product and procedural knowledge to mitigate customer problems and support customer loyalty.
- Manage risk in line with policies and procedures, exercising sound judgment and heightened scrutiny to avoid loss.
- Participate in daily branch operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- University or college degree or equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience (including military service).
- 1 year of professional experience or completion of a formal development program.
- Proficiency in banking products, business acumen, and customer experience management.
- Strong communication, prospecting, and sales competencies.
- Ability to leverage technology and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with risk management and adherence to regulatory frameworks.
- Effective communication skills and ability to advocate for clients across departments.
Bachelor's degree required; no specific certifications required for this position.
Other Requirements- Ability to serve as a Notary Public in the applicable state.
- Background checks as required by Consumer Financial Protection Bureau regulations.
- Will not be sponsored for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT.
Base Salary: $57,750.00 – $96,250.00. This role is incentive eligible with payment based upon company, business, and/or individual performance.
