Position Overview The Business Financial Professional (BFP) supports execution of program budgets by developing and maintaining spend plans, processing requisitions, and monitoring financial execution. This role works closely with Government Business Financial Managers, Program Managers, and Contracting personnel to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely use of funds in support of mission operations.
Key Responsibilities Create and maintain spend plans, requisitions, and supporting documentation Validate and complete Unliquidated Obligations (ULOs) Support end-of-year activities and Actuals data calls Enter and modify requisitions in NSA financial systems (PSC, PAR, SPAT, BER, Acq Sec, etc.) Prepare and process MIPRs and EAOs (non-complex and complex) Track requisitions through approval, certification, and execution Pull and analyze financial data from FACTS, CMIS, EDSS, and CDW Monitor expenses against budgets and burn rates Assist with Basis of Estimate (BOE) development and updates Prepare financial status reports and briefing materials for Government reviews Support budget planning, estimating, and financial data inquiries
Required Qualifications Level 2:
Eight (8) years DoD/IC experience or ten (10) years combined DoD/IC/commercial experience in purchasing or finance Bachelor's degree with a business focus Level 1 Consideration:
Candidates meeting Level 1 requirements with strong performance and growth potential will be considered Experience supporting budget planning, budget execution, and financial reporting for acquisition programs Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables) Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint (importing and presenting financial data)
