WE LOVE OUR WORK.JOB SUMMARY.
The Revenue Audit Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions on the property. Responsibilities include verifying, allocating, and posting daily transactions from various revenue and operational areas, reconciling cash counts, and compiling reports to provide valuable statistical insights. The Revenue Audit Clerk establishes and maintains essential records, promptly addresses irregularities, and prepares audit exception notices, contributing to financial transparency and compliance.
This role ensures the smooth and accurate flow of financial data and contributes to the overall success of the property.
- Verify, allocate, and post details of daily transactions to spreadsheet or computer files from documents received from revenue/operational areas such as the cage, count room, slot food, food and beverage, programs, valet parking, lottery, and retail.
- Reconcile and balance tapes and records to daily cash counts and summarize details in computer files.
- Compile reports to show statistics, such as cash receipts, machine payouts, expenditures, and other items pertinent to operations.
- Establish and maintain files of appropriate reports, records, or other information relevant to the department.
- Prepare and distribute audit exception notices for irregularities and errors discovered during the audit on a timely basis.
- Complete and forward daily revenue reports for all audited areas and errors discovered during the audit on a timely basis.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Revenue Audit Assistant Manager or Finance Manager.
There are no supervisory responsibilities in this position.

Minium Qualifications.- High School Diploma or equivalent with one year of prior work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- The ability to read, analyze, and interpret routine business documents.
- The ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
- Must be very detail oriented.
- The ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- The ability to interpret a variety of instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- The ability to occasionally lift and/or move more than 25lbs.
- Must qualify for a license with the Maryland State Lottery Agency and meet any credentialling requirements of the Maryland Gaming Control Board.
- Experience in or exposure to accounting or finance functions within a professional setting.
- The ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
