Duties Help
* You will collaborate with configuration managers and program management officials for the development of program guidance and requirements for development, test and evaluation, procurement, and in-service operations of supported aircraft programs.
* You will formulate short-term and long-range configuration management plans as well as ensuring that program milestones provide adequate time and resources for implementation by contractors, field activities, and participating government agencies.
* You will analyze management information requirements to develop and maintain a management information reporting system to serve as a reference source for briefing program officials about current, technical, financial, and schedule status of programs.
* You will make evaluative analyses of all aspects of the program including program objectives, policies, work operations, progress, resources utilization, intra and inter-program balances, and other related matters.
* You will prepare, coordinate, and update all configuration management reporting documents needed by the management officials and decision authorities who oversee the acquisition process.
* You will perform budget administration work, advising on the time-phasing of budget plans, develop and coordinate budgetary actions in the execution phases, and assure that funds are used on a timely basis when needed to accomplish program goals. Requirements Help Conditions of employment

* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition
Functional Area
and category assigned to the position is required within established category time frames.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Utilizing a wide range of technical and business systems, processes, and practices used to manage weapon systems acquisition; (2) Reviewing, analyzing, and implementing higher level procurement policies while serving as a liaison between program offices, contractors, and suppliers on all matters related to program planning;
3) Managing project/program requirements, objectives and metrics, and resolving conflicts among schedules, funding, and resources;
4) Identifying opportunities to incorporate process improvements and best practices utilizing customer feedback, internal and external audits, self-assessment, and lessons learned activities;
5) Advising management and colleagues on difficult problems, conducting special studies, proposing options and alternatives, and representing a Command.
