The Prince George's County Board of Elections is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill Distribution Supply Technician (Data Coordinator) positions, grade G13 within the Election Operations Division
.
The incumbents will serve in various Divisions as an Election Judge Technician, Warehouse Technician, Distribution Supply Technician and Drop Box Driver. Incumbents in this position are considered an "Essential Employee," during an election cycle. The election cycle begins three (3) months prior to an election and one (1) month following the election. As an "Essential Employee," you will not be authorized to take leave of absence, and you will be required to work specified weekends and holidays.
The incumbent in this position must be able to lift and carry supplies/equipment up to sixty (60) pounds and must have excellent computer, data entry and analytical skills. Incumbent must also have reliable transportation as travel to polling places and drop boxes is required.
The mission of the Prince George's County Board of Elections is to promote voter education, administer an efficient voting process, maintain an accurate voter registration database, and ensure that elected officials are elected in accordance with Federal, State, and County election laws. The Board of Elections is responsible for the supervision of elections, voter registration and record keeping, and the administration of election laws in Prince George's County, in accordance with The Election Law Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland.
The Board and the Election Administrator seek to provide voter registration to every County citizen who wants it.
- Assists in preparation and distribution of Election Day materials
- Assists with the Chief Judge check-in process
- Processes absentee and provisional ballots
Candidates must meet all minimum qualifications listed below to be eligible for additional consideration:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. with training in basic computer systems
- Successful completion of probationary period of six (6) months at the Data Entry Operator II level
- Two (2) years of experience in data entry/processing
- Must be a resident of the state of Maryland
- Must be a registered voter in the State of Maryland
Any equivalent combination of relevant training, education and experience may also be considered.
Preferred Qualifications- Candidates interested in Election Supply packing must be able to lift 60 lbs.
