Serves as the Social Media Manager and Graphic Designer for the Office of Communications and Outreach at the Department of Social and Economic Mobility. Builds and manages the agency social media calendar, produces social and print graphic design, and prepares accessible digital materials in order to grow the agency audiences and communicate programs and services to small, disadvantaged, minority-owned, women-owned, and veteran-owned businesses and the residents and communities the Department serves.
POSITIONDUTIES
- Social Media Management:
Create, schedule, and publish engaging content across Linked In, Facebook, and Instagram using a structured calendar; monitor public inquiries and track channel performance metrics. - Graphic & Print Design:
Design digital and print assets—including social graphics, flyers, brochures, event collateral, and infographics—using Adobe Creative Suite and Canva while ensuring strict brand consistency. - Vendor & Print Coordination:
Prepare press-ready artwork files and liaise with print vendors to oversee production and ensure timely delivery of print materials. - Digital Accessibility & PDF Remediation:
Ensure all digital assets and PDFs meet ADA and WCAG standards (using Adobe Acrobat Pro for tagging, alt text, and reading order) to guarantee public accessibility. - Brand Asset Management &
Collaboration:
Maintain the agency’s central asset library (shared drives, templates, and brand files) and partner with internal teams to transform program information into public-facing content.
- Education:
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. - Experience:
Five years of administrative staff or professional work. - Notes:
Candidates may substitute 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to four years of the required experience. - Notes:
