WVUHS and The Department of Emergency Medicine is growing! We are seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Professional (NP or PA) to join our team at Garrett Regional Medical Center in Oakland, Maryland.

Practice medicine with the right reasons and people. We continue to open access to care and strive to deliver the best care possible – quality over quantity.

The successful candidate will practice in the areas of Emergency Medicine. In addition to providing comprehensive outpatient clinical care to patients in an emergency medicine capacity, the candidate will establish preventive health practices for patients.

• Graduate of a CCNE-accredited nursing program with a Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers.
• Licensure, or eligibility for licensure, as a professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
• CNOR Certification required.
• BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department.

• Emergency medicine/urgent care experience preferred.
• Eligible new graduates will be considered.

• Bachelor’s Degree as Physician Assistant, or Master’s Degree as Physician Assistant required.
• Graduate of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant (PA) training program required.
• Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants required.
• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure by the PA Board of Medicine.
• BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department.

• Emergency Medicine/urgent care experience preferred.
• Eligible new graduates will be considered.

Compensation Range:
The salary is based on 100% FTE; it will be prorated if hired at less than 100% FTE.
