Physical Therapist PT - Outpatient Ortho

Med Star Health is looking for a licensed Physical Therapist to join our team at MHPT @ White Plains! The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy and hold appropriate licensure in Maryland, District of Columbia, or Virginia. The role requires professional competency as a general practitioner in physical therapy, demonstrated use of varied evaluation and treatment approaches, strong customer service skills, and effective communication with patients and families of diverse backgrounds.

The Physical Therapist provides physical therapy services to patients, including screening and evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, discharge planning, and documentation in outpatient settings. The PT participates in program planning, protocol development, and assists the team in meeting established goals.

• Provide evaluation services including review of pertinent historical information, performance of specific assessments, and determination of recommendations and documentation of results. Explain findings and treatment plan to patients and families, incorporating goal setting.
• Demonstrate proficiency in implementing treatment protocols based on evaluation findings and evolving healthcare environment, consulting with other professionals as indicated, and documenting changes in patient condition requiring plan modifications.
• Complete appropriate discharge planning and follow‑up care, accurately documenting and charging for patient care activities with clear notes on progress and outcomes.
• Manage time effectively, meeting productivity expectations while maintaining professional commitment to provide patient‑centric care.
• Takes initiative in pursuing continuing education, serves as a clinical instructor, and assists with orientation and mentoring of staff, students, volunteers, and technicians.

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
• Licensure in Maryland, DC, or Virginia as required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers CPR.

This position has a hiring range of USD $72,758.00 - USD $ per year.
