Position: PAYMENT ANALYST II
Location: Stoakley

Part Time , Day Shift , M-F (some Saturdays)

Salary Range $19.00 - $28.32

Job Summary

Responsible for all patient account functions to include payment posting, cashiering, and document imaging. Performs all duties of Payment Analyst I position. Assists with staff development, payer issue resolution, and acts as department liaison (as needed).

Education

High School Diploma required. 2 years of college preferred.

Experience

2 - 8 years of experience in a healthcare business office setting.

Other Requirements
  • Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
  • Proficient use of computer skills and applications, to include all Microsoft Office products.
  • Extensive knowledge of insurance plans, coverage types and medical terminology.
  • Advanced understanding of remittance advice/explanation of benefits.
  • Demonstrated understanding of revenue cycle concepts and process flows.
  • Maintain knowledge of all payer remittance codes.
  • Ability to communicate issues effectively with all levels of staff and departments.
  • Work regularly with information restricted to specific persons; discretion and integrity are recognized requirements of the position.
