Occupational Therapist, Part-Time – Infants And Toddlers (11 Month)
The person who holds this position will provide occupational therapy services to children, birth-4 years old, and provide coaching/training to their families in accordance with Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs). Collaborate with families and other providers to develop and implement IFSPs. Conduct evaluations of infants and toddlers to drive decision-making. Serve as a service coordinator or primary service provider and manage the IFSP process for infants/toddlers and their families.

- Knowledge of physical disabilities and sensory processing deficits and appropriate therapy strategies.
- Demonstrated diagnostic skills in the area of fine motor and physical development.
- Knowledge of and ability to administer fine motor assessments.
- Knowledge of and ability to administer sensory processing assessments.
- Ability to write evaluation reports, IFSPs, and IEPs.
- Knowledge and experience with the IFSP and the IEP processes.
- Knowledge of the Medicaid billing process.
- Knowledge of educational and psychological assessments.
- Knowledge and experience with appropriate developmental milestones and of the general education curriculum and early learning standards.
- Knowledge of disabilities and accommodations/supports to access the general education curriculum.
- Knowledge of and experience working with students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills when working with diverse groups (parents, other professionals, students, teachers, administrators, community agency representatives).
- Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication.
- Demonstrates initiative, self-regulation, and management of scheduling, monitoring and adhering to established timelines.
- Maintains good organizational skills and professional attitude.
- Demonstrated success in accomplishing tasks akin to those responsibilities listed below.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Calvert County Public Schools may find appropriate and acceptable.

May be subject to flexible hours. Work as required throughout the summer in order to ensure the continuous provision of services in accordance with IFSPs.
License or Certification:
Current Maryland Licensure in Occupational Therapy.
