Location: Mountain Lake Park
Job Summary:
Provide compassionate, individualized support and care to residents with developmental or intellectual disabilities. Facilitate daily living activities, personal development, and social integration in a safe, supportive residential environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Daily Living Supports:
Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation.
Administer medications or provide reminders in accordance with care plans.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the living environment.
2. Skill Development and Advocacy:
Support residents in developing life skills, including budgeting, cooking, and maintaining personal hygiene.
Encourage and facilitate participation in social and community activities.
Act as an advocate for residents, helping them access resources and services.
3. Safety and Behavior Management:
Monitor residents to ensure safety and adherence to house rules and care plans.
Respond appropriately to behavioral incidents, using de-escalation techniques as necessary.
Document incidents and communicate with supervisors about residents' progress and concerns.
4. Communication and Teamwork:
Maintain open, professional communication with residents, families, and other care team members.
Attend team meetings, training sessions, and reviews as required.
Accurately document care activities and report changes in residents' conditions.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a caregiving role.(preferred)
Skills:
Compassionate and patient demeanor
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow individualized care plans and document activities accurately.
Dependability and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Certifications (as applicable):
First Aid and CPR certification (obtainable upon hire)
Valid Driver’s license
Must stay in compliance with all DDA, BON, and agency training.
