Looking for a school-based SLP position where you can focus on students—not overwhelming caseloads?

HealthPRO Pediatrics is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide in-person services to a K–12 student population throughout Kent County Public Schools
. This position begins with the 2026–2027 school year (August 24, 2026) and offers the opportunity to work within a smaller school district known for its collaborative, student-centered approach.

Responsibilities

The speech therapist will provide speech/language/feeding & swallowing services to the pediatric population age 0-21 with developmental, neurological, and medical based disorders in a school setting. This position performs highly responsible work that will promote quality patient care and efficiency. The speech therapist is responsible for planning and administering evaluations, treatment plans, consults, screenings, parent education and promotes the overall health of the patient.

The speech therapist will also collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including physicians, psychologists, therapists, BCBAs, school staff, and parents to provide holistic services. In addition, this position requires flexibility with scheduled hours as the company continues to thrive and grow.

  • Provides skilled speech therapy treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results of patients.
  • Adheres to state requirements for supervision of SLPAs and Clinical Fellows to provide services with the highest care standards
  • Assures continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs; instructing patients, recommending and/or providing assistive equipment/ follow up programs.
  • Promptly and thoroughly documents and maintains clinical and administrative records regarding patient limitations/interventions, treatments, responses and progress to administered therapy as well as discharge summaries.
  • Maintains patient records confidentially.
  • Records treatment charges daily and completes documentation in accurate and timely manner.
