Med Star Health is looking for a full‑time Patient Service Coordinator to join our team in Brandywine, MD.

As a Patient Service Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing the best customer service to patients by greeting them with a warm and friendly smile, checking in/out processes, gathering demographic information, verifying insurance, taking copayments, and scheduling.

• Serve as the initial contact person at the medical practice or hospital department and greet patients in a courteous and professional manner.
• Manage the intake of patients into the practice, screen for emergent conditions, register, verify, and explain patient responsibility for payment.
• Perform check‑in and check‑out procedures by inputting patient charges and verifying demographic and insurance information.
• Coordinate efficient patient flow through the practice or hospital department assigned.
• Support organization initiatives related to new technology, clinical programs, and improving the patient experience.

• 6 months to 1 year of providing high quality customer service required, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Working knowledge of IDX/GE Centricity business preferred.
• High School Diploma.

Position has a hiring range of $18.70 - $32.72.
