Responsibilities- Support individuals in achieving their personal goals and fulfilling their dreams by having a "person‑centered" focus.
- Teach independent living and daily skills to the persons‑served by identifying and meeting social, environmental, and health care needs such as daily grooming and personal care routines.
- Actively plan, coordinate, and participate with residents in social activities including frequent community outings.
- Instruct, support and assist with performing household tasks such as cleaning, preparing meals, food shopping, etc.
- Friendly, enjoys going out, communicates very well.
- Likeable, loves music and bowling, family oriented.
- Enjoys Walmart, birthday parties, having a best friend around.
- Likes watching others cook.
- Uses a wheelchair and has a G‑tube.
- Earned high‑school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Able to communicate effectively with the individuals to whom services are provided.
- Experience in a residential setting serving people with intellectual/developmental disabilities or other special needs populations (rehabilitation settings, nursing homes, psychiatric hospitals, behavioral health settings).
