Job SummarySchedules cases proficiently into the system utilizing appropriate resources and according to departmental policies. Documents appointment detail to communicate case specific information. Verifies demographic information and attaches appointments to the appropriate category;
Selects correct insurance plan, performing compliance checks as indicated, resolving ICD
10 code issues as needed. Utilizes proper channels of communication to resolve departmental issues and communicates to management potential issues. Effectively communicates with colleagues, physicians, patients, and outside contacts to assist in reaching Customer. Works all cases posted in the inbox timely; accurately updates the scheduling grid to reflect "no show" and cancelled appointments. Runs and checks reports in compliance with Downtime and Departmental Procedures;
assists supervisor with running and checking monthly reports for Quality Assurance purposes. Ensures that all services are delivered in accordance with the mission statement and SPIRIT values of Carroll Hospital.
- Preferred High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2-4 years Hospital and/or Medical office experience Required
- Medical Terminology Certificate
Interpersonal skills (both written and oral) are necessary in order to communicate with dept. personnel, physicians, physician office staff, supervisors and other hospital depts.
