Lead Residential Specialist

Full-Time | Princess Anne, MD (and additional locations) Salary Range: $43,900–$55,000 annually

Schedule:

Tuesday-Friday 4-day, 36-hour work week

Position Overview

The Lead Residential Specialist is a hands-on, first-level leadership role supporting the daily operations of the Residential Rehabilitation Program, serving individuals recovering from severe mental illness. This position ensures the delivery of strengths-based, person-centered care in a safe, nurturing environment that promotes stabilization, skill building, and independence.

The Lead Residential Specialist works closely with the rehabilitation team to maintain high service standards, oversee residential operations, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Train, mentor, and support Residential Specialists to promote their professional growth and alignment with organizational values.
  • Assist with staff scheduling and supervision in the absence of the Residential Supervisor.
  • Support the development and implementation of individualized recovery plans that promote stabilization, community integration, and independent living.
  • Manage medication processes, including documentation, availability, and compliance.
  • Coordinate healthcare services for clients' somatic, psychiatric, and substance use needs.
  • Assist clients in maintaining entitlements and updating required records.
  • Facilitate weekly client meetings focused on needs, progress, and goals.
  • Participate in agency-sponsored training and assist in onboarding new Residential Specialists.
  • Ensure adherence to confidentiality, HIPAA, CARF standards, and state regulations.
  • Use electronic health records (EHR) to document and track data, service notes, and staff/client schedules; maintain accurate shift logs.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and welcoming residential environments; identify and follow up on maintenance needs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • A year experience working with people who have mental illness
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
  • Ability to meet organizational credentialing and privileging requirements.
