South Mountain Rehab Center is located in historic Boonsboro and is nestled at the foot of South Mountain, between Hagerstown and Frederick. Our facility provides short-term inpatient rehab services, skilled nursing care, and long-term care services to our residents. We pride ourselves on delivering quality care to each of our residents, and this begins and ends with our fantastic team.
Position Summary:We are seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to provide direct rehab care in physical therapy to patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT). As a PTA, you will be responsible for implementing treatment plans, providing patient education, and collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements:- Graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy (ASPT)
- Currently registered/licensed in applicable State
- One (1) year experience in post-acute care or related setting preferred
- Must have CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and e-mail
Job Requirements:
- Participate in community health matters/projects as appropriate
- Liaison with patients, families, and support departments to adequately plan for patient needs
- Demonstrate good body mechanics at all times
- Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
- Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post-acute care facility
- Ability to implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
- Follow physical therapy treatment plans for patients under direction of the supervising PT
- Chart appropriately and timely
- Utilize therapy software accurately
- Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
- Assist in the evacuation of patients
- Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance
- Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment
- Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
$30 - $35 HOURLY
