School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Westover, Maryland

As part of this role, you'll be pivotal in the upcoming 26/27 school year, working 2025 hours per week and helping support both students and an SLPA. Onsite and hybrid (onsite/virtual mix) working arrangements are available to offer valuable flexibility to fit your lifestyle.

What were looking for:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active Maryland SLP License and MD Teaching Certificate
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Previous experience in a school environment (preferred, but not required)
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with school teams
• Comfortable supervising an SLPA
• Tech-savvy for virtual services (for hybrid/remote components)

Key responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of approximately 20 students, delivering assessments and implementing evidence-based intervention
• Supervise an SLPA, providing guidance and support to enhance student services
• Develop and track individualized education plans (IEPs) and progress reports
• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary staff to promote effective communication strategies in the classroom
• Maintain accurate documentation consistent with state and district guidelines
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students
