Physical Therapist OP - Outpatient Orthopedics

Role And Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive physical therapy services, including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, and discharge planning.
• Conduct evaluations by reviewing patient history, performing assessments, and documenting results; communicate findings and involve patients and families in goal setting.
• Implement treatment protocols based on evaluation outcomes, monitor patient progress, and modify care plans as needed; collaborate with healthcare professionals.
• Complete accurate documentation of care activities, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring clear records of patient progress.
• Manage time effectively, meet productivity standards, and demonstrate flexibility and empathy to facilitate patient access to care.
• Engage in continuing education, serve as a clinical instructor, and assist in mentoring and orienting staff, students, and volunteers.

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Licensure in Maryland, DC, and/or Virginia as required by the specific location.
• Certification in BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR) from the American Heart Association.
• Demonstrated competency in diverse evaluation and treatment approaches, excellent communication, customer service skills, and professional growth initiative.
