This role involves providing comprehensive acute care physical therapy services, including initial assessments, treatment planning, implementation, and documentation for referred patients.
Primary dutiesinclude delivering effective patient care, determining equipment needs, instructing patients and families, maintaining therapy area and equipment, and demonstrating clinical reasoning to maximize safety and outcomes. The position requires accurate and timely documentation of interventions, discharge and equipment recommendations, and billing information. Efficient time management and adherence to productivity targets are essential. Participating in team decision-making, interdisciplinary collaboration, and continuous professional development are key responsibilities.
The role also involves supervising students and volunteers, and contributing to quality improvement activities.
- graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program
- maintenance of licensure and continuing education
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in rehabilitation or acute care
- eligibility for DC licensure
- BLS certification
