Schedule Details/Additional Information:
Part time FTE working in Cath lab and EP lab
Pay Range: $18.85 - $28.30
Major Responsibilities- Proper removal and documentation of femoral arterial and venous sheath from patients.
- Transportation of patients to procedure recovery area and nursing units.
- Maintenance of adequate levels of supplies.
- Transport of equipment for sterilization.
- Timely retrieval of supplies.
- Maintenance of patient film/CD library.
- Assist in patient data entry into WITT system pre-procedure.
- Work in close collaboration with Procedure/Recovery area for assistance in timely patient disposition.
- Promotes patient safety by reporting of issues through established channels and participating as requested in safety initiatives.
- Maintenance of CPR certification.
- Participate in departmental education programs, staff meetings and process improvement initiatives.
Education/Experience
Required:
High school education or equivalent. 6 months-1year of patient care experience is preferred.
- Basic computer skills.
- CPR certification (If incumbent does not have CPR certification, he/she must obtain it within 6 months of employment).

Working Conditions:
Good organizational skills. The ability to work unsupervised. Ability to function in a high stress environment. Ability to lift and move heavy patients. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to work flexible hours and work on an on-call basis. This requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 04/20/2014. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance.
For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
