Position Summary

USA Lacrosse is looking for an Events Manager to support the Director of Events and the Events team in planning and executing USA Lacrosse events. You will work on all USA Lacrosse events—from national competitions to ceremonies, regional programs, and special initiatives. This role helps manage timelines, event logistics, registration, and internal communication across departments, ensuring planning and execution are seamless and aligned with organizational goals of innovation, diversity, equity, and inclusion.

We are seeking someone who ensures events are executed as planned and attendees have an exceptional experience, working with a team of experienced event planners dedicated to growing lacrosse and expanding access for all.

A Typical Day Looks Like…

Event Services & Coordination

  • Builds and manages comprehensive event schedules, timelines, logistics (e.g., hotel planning), and internal deliverables, ensuring alignment with department goals and venue operations.
  • Manages participant registration and ongoing communications, providing timely updates to teams, vendors, and staff, and escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Acts as a point of contact for venue partners during planning and execution, including with the broader event team.
  • Provides event details to Marketing for timelines and audience priorities to ensure accurate promotional materials and communications.
  • Collaborates with Partnerships and Sponsorship to plan partner deliverables and accommodations for accurate execution; raises concerns in advance and troubleshoots as needed.
  • Supports volunteer planning and direction in coordination with the Event Coordinator.

Event Administration & Execution

  • Maintains and updates internal planning documents (SOPs, production timelines, trackers) and alerts relevant parties to concerns before the event.
  • Serves as a liaison between Events and internal departments to clarify timelines, responsibilities, and priorities.
  • Manages customer service inquiries related to registration and logistics, escalating concerns as needed and ensuring follow-through for a positive participant experience.

Event Evaluation & Standardization

  • Supports data collection, including attendance tracking and post-event surveys.
  • Assists in developing recap reports and documents takeaways for future SOPs, timelines, and planning tools.
  • Supports a collaborative, team-first culture with open communication, proactive problem-solving, and clear follow-through.

Is This You…

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in event planning/management; experience in sports, entertainment, or hospitality is a plus.
  • Experience in an association, nonprofit, member-based, or governing body environment is a plus.
  • Understanding of event logistics, vendor management, scheduling, and material tracking.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proactive, hands-on attitude with the ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
