As Catering Coordinator your role is to oversee all aspects of catering sales from taking orders, communicating with operations, helping to prepare and deliver, invoice, follow up with customers and collect payments. Responsibilities also include keeping catering records and building catering sales through community relationships and providing exceptional service.
This position will require full-time working open availability, Monday through Saturday, but will also require flexible availability, as needed, for special events, and community engagement.
During breaks from Catering tasks, this position will serve as additional support with FOH and BOH Leadership.
Responsibilities - Included but not limited to:- Assists customer with catering questions and orders while in the restaurant and via phone.
- Takes catering orders from guests via phone and in the restaurant.
- Creates quotes for customers, as needed.
- Maintains online catering system.
- Prepares boxed meals, beverage gallons, etc. deliveries/pickups, as needed.
- Delivers catering orders, as needed with company vehicle.
- Able to navigate stairs and elevators and lift up to 50lbs.
- Creates a “REMARK”able catering experience for every guest, every time.
- Sends catering follow-up emails (or calls) for every catering order, seeking out opportunities to constantly improve our catering service.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of catering area, equipment and supplies.
- Maintains and adheres to Catering Vehicle documentation and policies.
- Rectifies/pursues solutions for misunderstandings or mistakes with guests.
- Ensures the entire team consistently and accurately takes and executes catering orders.
- Audits and maintains accurate guest databases and ensures accurate information in the database is up to date and accurate.
- Maintains clear records of all invoices and pursues timely payment. Works closely with the Operations Director to set goals, identify opportunities and develop strategies to improve performance.
- Monitors catering transactions and sales and works to achieve consistent growth of catering business.
- Provides regular Catering Performance Reports on transactions, sales, performance & order accuracy, collected sales, and catering business details to Operating Partner.
