Job Description

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will work directly with the Sr. Director of Talent Management and have responsibility for high-volume sourcing of qualified candidates for our prime contracts and subcontracts. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will utilize a variety of sources including internal employee postings, approved job boards, internal and external databases, directly sourced candidates, advertisements, and employee referrals. The role also supports the administrative and compliance functions associated with the recruiting lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to hiring policies and requirements.

Capabilities
  • Execute sourcing strategies for each requisition, focused on technical roles supporting DoD and IC customers throughout Virginia, Maryland, and extended enterprise locations.
  • Source candidates through targeted outreach, referrals, professional associations, clearance communities, approved recruiting platforms, and internal/external databases.
  • Conduct web-based candidate research and outreach in compliance with OFCCP and internal recruiting standards.
  • Manage internal job posting processes for assigned requisitions in compliance with HR protocols.
  • Post and maintain job openings for required time frames and ensure requisitions remain current and accurate.
  • Screen, qualify, and present candidates based on technical alignment, mission/program fit, compensation expectations, and cultural fit.
  • Maintain timely communication with hiring managers and stakeholders regarding candidate pipeline, interview progress, and recruiting status.
  • Track and update candidate records in Taleo (ATS) accurately and consistently following defined workflow steps.
  • In conjunction with the Director of Talent Acquisition and Hiring Managers, develop an effective compelling presentation to sell the job and client company to prospective candidates.
  • Proactively build and maintain pipelines for high-demand skillsets.
  • Support interview logistics when required, including scheduling coordination, availability collection, and confirmation of interview details.
  • Provide recruiting support including sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer support, and onboarding handoff.
  • Maintain awareness of labor market trends, clearance market conditions, and competitor hiring activity in the VA/MD region.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of recruiting experience supporting DoD and/or Intelligence Community customers, with a strong preference for cleared recruiting.
  • U.S. Citizen required.
  • College degree preferred (or equivalent recruiting experience).
  • Experience recruiting technical and non-technical roles in the defense/intelligence space.
  • Demonstrated success sourcing and qualifying a high volume of candidates in competitive markets such as Northern Virginia and Maryland.
  • Experience placing candidates into full-time roles supporting government contracts and mission programs.
  • Experience in or knowledge of Information Technology processes, methodologies, and strategy.
  • Strong knowledge of technology (Boolean search logic, Outlook, Web, Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
  • Successful experience managing multiple searches, and hiring managers, at different stages at the same time.
  • Worked in a team environment that emphasized group contributions.
  • Understanding of sourcing approaches and tactics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create clear candidate emails and summaries.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
