The HR Administrator is responsible for coordinating and processing payroll and supporting essential HR administrative functions. This role maintains employee data, supports benefits and compliance tasks, and provides employees with responsive, service‑oriented support. The position requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and proficiency with HR and payroll systems.
Compensation & Benefits- Competitive compensation package of minimum $19.75/hour – maximum $24.40/hour
- Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks
- Holidays: 11 days

- Maintain and update employee records (digital and physical files)
- Assist with recruitment processes, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and coordinating communication with candidates
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes for employees
- Process employment documentation such as contracts, background checks, and verification forms
- Assist with payroll administration and timekeeping records
- Respond to employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and procedures
- Coordinate HR events, training sessions, and meetings
- Help administer employee benefits programs (health insurance, retirement plans, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws
- Prepare HR reports, metrics, and documentation as needed
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information
- Prepare standard HR documents, such as offer letters, onboarding packets, and employment verifications.
- Maintain employee files and records, including new hire paperwork, status change forms, and termination documents.
- 1‑2 years HR experience preferred
- Transportation experience helpful
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to influence people at all levels of the organization, both vertical and horizontal.
- Proven problem‑solving skills
- Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while exceeding established goals and objectives.
- Proficient in ADP and HRIS systems (i.e., entering, running reports, etc.).
- Trapeze and VDS experience helpful
- Able to interact effectively with a variety of internal and external customers in various positions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software, Excel, and Access.
Physical demands: 90% of work is performed indoors in air‑conditioned or well‑ventilated facilities; 10% outdoors. Tasks require considerable use of arms, repetitive hand‑wrist‑eye and finger motion, extensive computer work, and limited light lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, bending, and reaching. Must be able to sit for long periods and may be asked to travel to company functions or for outside training.
