Overview
ISSO Support Systems Engineer – Peraton is hiring to join our Cyber Mission business unit. This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year and work performed at a Peraton location. The role provides ISSO/ISSM support to the PMO, leads ISSOs, SA's and other team members, and manages tasks related to SSP and other ISSM/ISSE/ISSO activities. You will contribute to security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, certification and awareness activities for systems and networking operations.
The position requires interaction with customers, IT staff and high-level government officers to achieve IA objectives for enterprise-class support to classified programs and architectures.

Responsibilities include providing ISSO/ISSM support to the PMO, leading ISSOs, SA's and other applicable team members, and guiding, tasking, managing, monitoring and reporting all tasks related to SSP and other ISSM/ISSE/ISSO activities. Contribute to security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, certification and awareness activities for systems and networking operations. Interact with customers, IT staff and high-level government officers to define and achieve required IA objectives for enterprise-level support to classified programs, capabilities and enterprise architectures.
QualificationsIndividual Capabilities/Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or related discipline plus at least 20 years of systems engineering experience. A Master's degree or PhD may be substituted for two years of experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 24 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.
- Must be familiar with and have experience using XACTA
- Must have experience establishing and maintaining SSPs
- Must understand the Government ISSE/ISSO/ISSM processes
- DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I or higher is required
- Demonstrated Information System Security Engineering expertise with knowledge of current and legacy Security Risk Management Framework (certification & accreditation) processes and procedures
- Ability to analyze user requirements using governing security requirements to develop security documentation
- Position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired:
- Network Engineering experience is a plus
- Demonstrated teamwork & flexibility in developing realistic, achievable solutions for a variety of systems security engineering and program management endeavors
- Strong oral, written and interpersonal communications skills
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team to complete assigned tasks within the expected schedule

$176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by factors including scope and responsibilities, experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
