Job Summary
DCCA is a veteran-owned IT business seeking a Database Administrator Level 2 (DBA L2) with an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. The role focuses on maintaining integrity, security and availability of multiple databases for government and commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain integrity, security, and availability of database(s).
- Establish and maintain database user accounts.
- Administer, implement policies and procedures ensuring database security.
- Organize and format data for efficient query and storage.
- Evaluate requirements and recommend DBMS products.
- Perform server administration for Oracle, SQL Server, SYBASE.
- Execute disaster recovery, performance analysis, tuning, index maintenance and data monitoring.
- Perform database and software life‑cycle activities to ensure high performance and availability.
- Support data modeling and prototype database implementation.
- Coordinate database architecture changes with Database Engineer (DBE).
- Direct monitoring, performance optimization, database indexing and structure redesign.
- Oversee installation of database management systems, databases, tables and views.
- Utilize current and emerging database tools, strategies and technologies.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- Ten (10) years of DBA experience in similar programs and contracts (or four (4) additional years to substitute for a bachelor’s degree).
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited institution (or required experience).
- Proven experience with Mongo
DB and Elasticsearch. - Strong knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, SYBASE, and database administration.
- Experience with disaster recovery, performance tuning, and DB lifecycle management.
Salary range for this position in Maryland: $120,000–$160,000, determined by experience and qualifications. Comprehensive benefits include healthcare, retirement plan, disability and life insurance, paid and unpaid leave, education assistance, and wellness initiatives.
