Storage Architect to join our team in Laurel, MD.

Join Man Tech’s mission‑focused national security team delivering enterprise infrastructure capabilities for a global workforce. This role will support the Intelligence Community’s Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) platform in Maryland. This role supports infrastructure associated with Data Center & Computing Services, Integrated Product Teams (IPT), and vendors to deliver services to Man Tech’s customers in the IC.

• Design, architect, configure, deploy, upgrade, and support various storage and backup platforms and associated management tools.
• Participate in the evaluation, deployment, management, and integration of new technologies in alignment with other engineers, architects, and technical service lanes.
• Provide technical leadership and is responsible for the development of new storage infrastructure and Information Lifecycle Management designs, including requirements and analysis.
• Share ownership of the operational responsibility for storage provisioning and availability at government customer site with the Customer/Government Storage Manager.
• Keep abreast of current developments in storage and backup technology to assist Federal staff in assessing the future direction of storage and backup technology.
• Be responsible for the delivery of the technical architectural design, strategies and plans that will be delivered on an ongoing basis.
• Create and maintain documentation: logical/physical diagrams, run books, and other technical engineering documents.
• Perform end‑to‑end analysis on the performance of the storage infrastructure, present findings, and submit recommendations for improvement.

• Bachelor degree in a technical field is required. An additional 5 years of experience in storage operations might be substituted for degree.
• 15+ years’ experience in storage operations or storage architecture, with a focus on Net Apps.
• Experience with SAN, NAS, Fiber Channel and iSCSI storage implementations.
• Proven proficiency in storage solutions including, but not limited to, block, NFS, SIF, S3, Share File systems, and NAS.
• Strong understanding of fundamental hardware concepts: disk, memory, CPU, NIC, HBA, firmware, RAID, performance concepts (I/O, paging, swapping, system calls), iSCSI, Fiber Channel, Ethernet.
• Experience connecting storage arrays to Hypervisor Technologies (NUTANIX, VMWARE VCF, Open Stack).

• 20 years’ experience in overall storage operations or storage architecture. 10 years of experience in the specific storage technology that is in the customer environment.

• Must have a current active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph.
