Technology Risk & Compliance Analyst
Location: Owings Mills, MD (Hybrid – 50% Remote)
Job Type: Contract
We are seeking a Technology Risk & Compliance Analyst to support technology governance, risk, and compliance initiatives within a fast‑paced enterprise environment. This role is responsible for implementing and auditing technology policies, assessing technology risks, supporting regulatory compliance efforts, and partnering with cross‑functional teams to strengthen technology controls and governance processes.

Key Responsibilities- Implement, maintain, and audit technology policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Perform technology risk assessments and evaluate the effectiveness of IT controls.
- Monitor, track, and report compliance with technology policies and control requirements.
- Support internal and external audit activities by gathering and organizing technology control evidence.
- Coordinate with technology, security, and risk management teams to identify, document, and remediate control gaps.
- Participate in regulatory compliance initiatives and assist in preparing documentation and presentations for audit and review sessions.
- Collaborate with global teams to develop technology controls and processes that align with evolving regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve governance, compliance, and operational processes.
- Assist with implementing new controls and procedures as technologies, risks, and regulatory requirements evolve.
- Support project initiatives and may lead smaller cross‑functional efforts as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline.
- 0–2 years of experience in IT, technology risk, compliance, cybersecurity, audit, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of programming concepts and the ability to read and comprehend code.
- Knowledge of technology governance, risk management, or compliance principles is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to research complex technical issues.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and develop practical, business‑focused solutions.
- Detail‑oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
- MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
- Exposure to IT audit, cybersecurity, technology governance, or regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with technology control frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT, or similar is a plus.
