Infrastructure Administrator – On-Prem & Cloud

Fulton, MD (Onsite)

Domain:
Raytheon Solipsys System and Network Administration Team under Information Technology.

• Administration and automation of cloud and on‑premise environments, including managing authentication and security configuration via Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and developing configuration policies.
• Developing and supporting Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for Agile implementations of enterprise services across multiple environments for consistent configurations.
• Windows and Linux system administration of enterprise‑wide or program/lab related systems, including setting up new or maintaining existing environments, either bare‑metal, virtual, or cloud‑based.
• Administration or support of virtualized environments leveraging technologies such as VMWare, Hyper‑V, Citrix, and Proxmox.
• Documenting and reporting overall system configuration and adherence to hardening requirements (e.g., CIS, DISA STIG, NIST) and collaborating with Solipsys Cyber Operations for vulnerability mitigations, incident response, and compliance efforts.
• Assisting in the implementation and integration of COTS solutions and infrastructure deployments to enhance IT projects, provide new capabilities or services, and manage the compliance of existing security technologies.
• Collaborating with team members to leverage enterprise IT solutions knowledge for future technology designs consistent with enterprise architecture security policies.
• Staying up to date with current technology innovations.

• Typically requires a STEM degree or an advanced degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience (or 3 years for advanced degrees).
• CompTIA Security+ certification or eligibility to achieve.
• AWS Professional‑level cloud certifications (Solutions Architect Professional or Dev Ops Engineer Professional).
• Proficiency in IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Python for infrastructure automation.
• Understanding of system hardening and security compliance through NISPOM, DISA STIGs, NIST 800‑171, including implementation and audit/assessment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• U.S. citizenship.

• Highly motivated with creative solutions to complex problems.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. for racking equipment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Self‑driven with strong problem‑solving skills.
• Familiarity with container technologies, cloud technologies, Dev Ops concepts, and/or software development experience.
• Proficiency in scripting via Bash and/or Power Shell.
• Relevant certifications such as MCSA, RHCSA, VCP, or other industry‑approved credentials.
• Active Secret Security Clearance.
