Mid-Level DevOps Systems Engineer + TS​/SCI-FS Poly Security Clearance

Position: Mid-Level DevOps Systems Engineer [$288k/yr+] TS/SCI-FS Poly with Security Clearance
Location: Annapolis Junction

Candidates must already possess an active Top Secret/SCI w/ Full Scope Polygraph to be considered.

Summary:

• Support a web-based mission application as a System Engineer.
• Manage full life cycle software development, Dev Ops, and software testing.
• Utilize AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Grafana, Kibana, Git Lab CI/CD, Jira, and Confluence.
• Work in Linux environments, script with Bash, Python, and Ruby, and use BDD testing frameworks like Cucumber.
• Implement configuration management with Ansible, Salt, and Puppet. Qualifications & Compensation:

Technical bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Years of experience: 10+ years
• Total Compensation: $288k+ yearly

Job Description:

• Support the Dev Ops team in testing and troubleshooting our web application.
• Collaborate with operations and development teams to identify testing needs and develop test plans.
• Triage reported operational issues.
• Perform daily monitoring of Tier 1 application health and status metrics.
• Report issues detected during testing or system usage via the ticketing system.
• Perform system and application installations, upgrades and production system security patching.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions to improve reliability, performance, security, and operational efficiency.
• Provide operational support and/or training to users.
• Monitor and respond to application-related Jira Service Desk tickets.
• Occasionally respond to mission-critical after-hours calls.
• Participate in minor CONUS/OCONUS travel (~1–2 times per year).
