Job Description:

Tria Federal is seeking a Deputy Project Manager to support the successful execution of a large federal healthcare technology program supporting the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Reporting to the Program Manager, this role serves as the operational lead for the Project Management Office (PMO), supporting program governance, product coordination, and day-to-day operations across multiple Agile teams.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized and collaborative project management professional with experience supporting Agile software development, PMO operations, and product delivery. This individual will work closely with CMS Product Owners, business stakeholders, technical teams, and internal leadership to coordinate program activities, monitor delivery progress, prepare executive reporting, and ensure successful execution of program objectives. The role also supports internal program operations, resource coordination, and continuous process improvement while promoting operational excellence and the adoption of emerging technologies.

Requirements Ability to obtain a U.S. Federal Position of Trust clearance designation. Must reside in and be able to perform work in the United States. Must have lived in the United States for 3 of the last 5 years. Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, computer science, engineering, technology, or a related discipline. Must be able to work onsite in the Windsor Mill, MD office one (1) to two (2) days per week, with additional onsite attendance as required for customer meetings, workshops, program activities, and team collaboration.

Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting project management, PMO operations, product management, or product delivery for enterprise IT programs. Experience supporting Federal Government IT programs; experience supporting the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is preferred. Experience leading and supporting Agile software development projects throughout the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Experience collaborating with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and cross-functional technical teams in an Agile environment.

Excellent organizational, analytical, written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams. Experience utilizing AI-powered productivity tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar technologies, to improve project management, reporting, documentation, and operational efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting enterprise software products in a healthcare or government environment. Knowledge of Agile product management practices, including backlog management, user stories, acceptance criteria, sprint planning, release planning, and product roadmaps. Experience developing executive dashboards, program metrics, status reports, and presentations. Experience supporting program staffing, onboarding, operational planning, subcontractor coordination, and operational administration. Experience with Human-Centered Design (HCD) methodologies and collaboration tools such as Lucid, Figma, or Mural.

PMP, PMI-ACP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent certification.
