client is seeking an Ansible Automation Engineer to join their team in a contract-to-hire capacity. This individual will lead infrastructure automation initiatives across Linux and cloud environments, helping reduce manual operational work through scalable, repeatable automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions using Ansible and Terraform
- Build scalable automation frameworks for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployments
- Automate processes across Linux (Red Hat/Open Shift), cloud, and infrastructure platforms
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, Dev Ops, and Engineering teams to identify and implement automation opportunities
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing automation workflows, playbooks, and pipelines
- Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation and automation standards
- Support enterprise infrastructure modernization initiatives in a hybrid cloud environment
Strong hands-on experience with Ansible(AAP, playbooks, roles, modules, automation workflows)
Strong experience with Terraformand Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Linux administration experience, including:
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Open Shift
Experience supporting cloud platforms:
- Azure
- AWS
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Scripting experience with:
- YAML
- Python
Experience supporting infrastructure automation, configuration management, and deployment automation
Strong documentation and written communication skills
Ability to work independently in a highly technical, non-customer-facing environment
- Windows Server administration experience
- Power Shell scripting
- Perl scripting
- Git / version control experience
- CI/CD pipeline experience
- Git Ops methodologies
- Docker and Kubernetes exposure
- Security automation or compliance-focused infrastructure experience
- SQL experience
